Class of 2022 Project

Imagine a group home, here in Mesa, where boys from the City's 'at risk' community stay because they have no place else to go.

Now, imagine ten of these young men coming together, boys of different ages and races who need support varying from education to counseling support to someone simply showing that they care. They need love and understanding, but what they also need is someone or something that makes them feel like part of our community, like they matter to us too, to feel like they do not just have a house to stay at, but a home to live in.

Well, this year Mesa Leadership is aiming to improve their lives by giving them added comfort in their bedrooms with lamps, nightstands, comfortable bedding, etc., making an outdoor space for them to play games, or sit around a fire during the winter months, when its too cold to hang outside, giving them a space to call home.

This is where YOU come in… We are asking you, the Mesa community, for help!

Help us make these boys feel like they matter, like they are a part of something bigger than themselves. In return we will be offering you monthly updates on how our project progresses as well as photographs/videos if possible, so please... lend your support! Even if it is just words of encouragement. This will mean a lot to these boys and to us here at Mesa Leadership who want nothing more than to give back to our community, especially to the boys in the Child Crisis Center Boys Home.

Just imagine that feeling when a young man comes home from school after a horrible day only to find his bedroom with a new comforter waiting for him on his bed, a nightstand to place his items on, the first time he sits down to play a game at a lighted outdoor table sitting around a fire pit.

With you helping us reach our goal of $15,000 we will be able to give these boys a home with all they need! Can you imagine seeing their faces light up as they enter their new bedroom…
